Beirut is home to public libraries that go beyond just reading, offering spaces to connect, explore, and discover new ideas. Here are the three libraries that make this possible.

3- Monot Library

  • Opened in 2008, located in the culturally rich Monot area.
  • A cozy 100 sqm space with reading and working areas for kids & adults.
  • Strong focus on arts & culture, plus internet access.

Opening Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Friday: 9 AM – 9 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM (Closed on Sundays)

Location: St. Joseph University St., next to Monnot Theater, Beirut

2- Geitawi Library

 

  • Opened in 2004, set inside the beautiful Jesuit public garden.
  • A 100 sqm space with a children’s area and access to an enclosed garden for activities.
  • Perfect for a relaxing read in nature!

Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Location: Rmeil, Jesuit Garden, Beirut

1- Bachoura Library

  • The largest of Beirut’s public libraries, opened in 2001.
  • A 350 sqm space with a children’s area, newspaper corner, and computer station.
  • A welcoming spot for bookworms of all ages.

Opening Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Location: Issaf Municipal Building, 3rd Floor, Beirut
