Culture Ministry Approves Turning Fairuz’s Childhood Home In Beirut Into A Museum!

The Lebanese Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the National Heritage Foundation, has approved a project to turn Fairuz’s childhood home in Zokak el-Blat, West Beirut, into a museum.

The plan includes buying, restoring, and transforming the house into a museum that celebrates her extraordinary career.

Culture Minister Mohammad Bassam Mortada said efforts began in 2022, and an agreement is now in place to move forward.

The restored home will welcome visitors and feature a timeline of Fairuz’s journey and her collaborations with the Rahbani brothers.
