The Lebanese Movie Awards Honor The Best In Lebanese Art

On July 6, the Lebanese Movie Awards celebrated its 8th edition at Casino Du Liban, attracting leading figures from Lebanon’s film industry and celebrities. The jury, consisting of fifteen luminaries, faced a challenging adjudication process due to the abundance of cinematic masterpieces.

The Prestigious Award

“Memory Box” by Joanna Hadjithomas and Khalil Jreiche took home the prestigious award for Best Lebanese Film.

The Set Design Award

“Broken Keys”, a daring film by Jimmy Keyrouz with a captivating performance by Tarek Yaacoub, received acclaim and recognition for its set design.

The Best Screenplay Award

The Best Screenplay award was granted to “Memory Box”, based on Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige personal diaries.

Best Original Score and Best Casting Award

Other notable winners included “Beirut Hold’em” for best original score and Best Casting. Rana Alamuddin and Said Serhan were the best ensemble cast for Beirut Hold’Em by Michel Kammoun.
