Beirut International Airport (BIA) saw its highest traffic of the year in June 2024. Despite this peak, the numbers still fell short of those from June 2023, marking a slight annual decline of 0.25%.
Beirut airport records modest flight increase in June
The number of flights handled at BIA in June also saw a small increase of 0.3% year-over-year, reaching 5,509 flights. This included 2,751 flights arriving in Beirut and 2,758 departing.

In June, BIA recorded 707,201 passengers arriving and departing, compared to 708,970 in the same month last year. Arrivals to Lebanon decreased by 5% to 406,396 passengers, while departures increased by 7.13% to 300,362 passengers. The number of transit passengers dropped significantly by 41%, totaling just 443.
At the end of June 2024, the airport’s passenger count decreased by 5.8% from the previous year, reaching 2,999,965, compared to 3,185,959 during the same period last year.
