Canada Calls On Its Citizens To Leave Lebanon

Diana E.

The Canadian government urged its citizens on Tuesday to leave Lebanon immediately due to rising concerns about potential violence at the Lebanese southern border.

“Leave now, while commercial flights are still operating,” Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said in a statement.

This warning follows an announcement by the Israeli army over a week ago about its readiness for a major offensive in Lebanon. Meanwhile, He2bollah has stated that it will stop attacking Israel only when the Israeli military operations in Gaza cease.
