The operation sparked anger among camp residents, prompting the Lebanese Army to deploy additional reinforcements to manage potential security challenges.

In a later statement, the Lebanese Army confirmed the arrest of the suspect, J.A., despite facing resistance including stone-throwing and warning shots.

بتاريخ ٨ / ٧ /٢٠٢٤، وعلى أثر إشكال تخلله إطلاق نار في مخيم نهر البارد، دهمت قوة من الجيش منازل مطلقي النار وأوقفت المطلوب (ج.ع.)، وأثناء عملية الدهم تعرضت القوة للرشق بالحجارة، كما حصل إطلاق نار في الهواء.

The statement continued, saying that the operation involved searching the suspects’ homes. Investigations are ongoing under judicial supervision.
