Lebanon Loses Billions In The Southern Border War

Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, confirmed that Lebanon suffered notable consequences from the Gaza war, particularly affecting its agricultural and tourism industries.

Salam detailed the significant damage to the agricultural sector, noting that the estimated losses to agricultural land and products have reached approximately $2.5 billion, according to an initial study.

He pointed out that the Gaza war spilling over into Lebanon has severely impacted the economy in southern Lebanon. He estimated the damages to be around 7 to 10 billion USD.
