Lebanon’s Central Bank has issued a new directive allowing depositors to withdraw $150 monthly from accounts opened after October 31, 2019, to convert Lebanese pound savings into dollars at the start of the financial crisis.

The central bank circular pertains to accounts under $300,000, referred to as “old money” or funds that existed during the financial system’s collapse.
