Lebanon’s ISF Foils Arms Smuggling Attempt From Syria
The Lebanese Internal Security Forces announced that they foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition from Syria, arresting a suspect on the Dahr el-Baidar road.
The ISF seized a large stock of arms from a Jeep Grand Cherokee and immediately referred the suspect to their Information Branch for further interrogation.
During interrogation, the suspect, A.R., admitted to transporting weapons from Syria to Lebanon alongside another individual, B.F., both of whom are Lebanese.
The ISF referred the suspects to judicial authorities after uncovering their role in multiple smuggling operations, with efforts ongoing to identify others involved in the network.
