The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) announced in a statement that surgical coverage will be increased to 90% starting September 10, 2024.
This decision follows meetings between the NSSF and the Private Hospitals Syndicate to adjust surgery rates, which have been updated so that insured individuals won’t face extra costs.

Now, NSSF health benefits are back to what they were before the crisis, covering 90% of hospital costs. Insured people will only need to pay 10% of their total hospitalization bill.
The NSSF also requested that all partner hospitals adhere to the new rates and not ask insured individuals for any contribution exceeding 10% of the value of care,
