More Countries Urged Its Citizens To Leave Lebanon

Diana E.

After Canada, Poland, North Macedonia, and Kuwait, more countries have urged their citizens to leave Lebanon amid growing fears of a full-blown war in the country.

Germany issued a travel warning and asked its citizens currently in Lebanon to leave the country.

The UK strongly advised its citizens against all travel to Lebanon. “The FCDO advises against all travel to Lebanon due to the risks associated with the conflict between Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories,” the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office said in a statement.

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut has renewed its warning to American citizens against traveling to Lebanon due to the difficult situation in the country, indicating that circumstances could change dramatically and quickly. The embassy reminded U.S. citizens to review the current travel advisories for Lebanon and advised those present in the country to avoid traveling to southern Lebanon, the Lebanese-Syrian border area, or refugee camps.

Similarly, the Russian Embassy in Beirut has requested that its nationals refrain from traveling to Lebanon until the situation in the south of the country stabilizes.
