Who is Michel Issa?

Michel Issa, originally from Aley, is a golfing buddy of Trump. He studied economics in Paris and worked at several banks, including the Union of Arab and French Banks.

In case the Senate approves Issa, he would replace Lisa Johnson, who assumed the role in 2023 after serving as the director for Middle East affairs at the National Security Council.
