USAID Allocates Emergency Humanitarian Aid For Lebanon

Diana E.
The U.S. government, via USAID, has allocated over $67 million in emergency humanitarian aid for vulnerable communities in Lebanon, totaling $157 million since the start of fiscal year 2023.
This funding enables the United Nations World Food Programme to provide monthly food aid to over 500,000 individuals, including 200,000 Lebanese citizens.
Additionally, USAID partners will continue providing healthcare services to 141,000 people through clinics and home healthcare.
Despite effective aid efforts, escalating needs exceed available resources, underscoring the need for additional support.
USAID urges other donors to join in addressing Lebanon’s urgent humanitarian needs to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
