restaurant
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 4.9 See reviews × Tappo 4.9 ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 124 reviews
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-05-07 a great restaurant with amazing international food. Everything we ordered was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely come back!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-05-15 Nice restaurant and concept ! Amazing food! Seriously, they use the good stuff. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. You can taste the quality in every bite. Their cocktails were nice and the service friendly and quick. We shared 6 kinds of toast bites, keshek baklava (this was really good), spinach croquette, ravioloni (both were marvelous) and the artichoke halloumi dip (that’s he only thing I don’t recommend).
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-05-09 Perfect location, amazing atmosphere, the design is extremely gorgeous. The drinks are outstanding and the staff is really nice! Don’t hesitate to visit!

☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-21 One of the best pubs in town. With a warm welcome from Nino & Remie the owners to the quality drinks they offer along with great music, service and food that makes you come back again and again and again.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-03-03 Ten years between visits!!! Still as cool as it was then. Great service, Amazing music and cool AF atmosphere. Have the damn Negroni, but ensure you close out the night with a Moscow Mule! Always has been, always will be, cooler than cool. 🇦🇺🤙🏻🇱🇧
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-05-23 One of our favorite cocktail bars in Bei. Great service. Niño is a great bartender and owner, he will try to match his recomendations to your taste. Recomended spot.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2022-10-14 I have been coming to this bar since 2015. One of my favourite spots in Beirut. Really authentic and they serve best rosemary whisky sour ever!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-04-09 I have not been in Beirut since 2012 and coming to Dragonfly really made me feel nostalgic. It reminded me that this city has a style and a mood that no other city has… and I have literally been around the globe. Cheers. Dragonflies, with their iridescent bodies and large multifaceted eyes, are captivating insects known for their aerial prowess. These ancient creatures are master predators, snatching smaller insects mid-air with remarkable agility. Their life cycle involves aquatic larvae, called nymphs, that undergo multiple molts before transforming into winged adults. Dragonflies play a crucial role in ecosystems, controlling insect populations and serving as indicators of water quality. Their beauty and efficiency make them fascinating subjects for observation and scientific study. Gouraud, Bayrut, Lebanon -

☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-03-16 Lovely experience! Food and drinks were top-notch, and the waiters were very friendly. Would definitely recommend for a cosy time with friends or a romantic date.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-05-05 A peace haven in busy Hamra. Great drinks and options (matcha, golden, chai lattes with coconut mylk). Food is a bit pricey.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-04-21 Hands down one of my favorite places in Lebanon. Flawless execution of food every time despite ups and downs in the country. Fish and chips 10/10 Mushroom risotto 11/10 Prawn risotto 11.5/10 Burger 10/10 Japanese cheesecake 9/10 Pain perdu 10/10 Kid friendly during the day but mostly starting afternoon it’s adult oriented. Their jazz nights transport to a chill vibe. Never left disappointed.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2021-12-14 Gorgeously designed and very friendly staff although we were moved twice before finding a spot. Expensive food but beautifully presented and very tasted! Love the trees inside! Wish I could have experienced a jazz concert here or there
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2023-09-20 Nice pub restaurant situated in hamra playing jazz. Welcoming staff and helpful, friendly bartenders, great atmosphere with the music played, delicious food and drinks, fast service, recommended. Beirut, Lebanon -
The Beirut Cellar

☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 4.3 See reviews × The Beirut Cellar 4.3 ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 172 reviews
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-11-10 It was nice to visit the Beirut cellar again. The decor and the menu have been updated but you can still see the history it carries. Three stars for the food because some dishes were good others were average.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-01-22 Yesterday we decide to try this authentic old restaurant in ashrafieh. We went for a dinner we had roquefort salad was amazing with nice after taste, gnocchi a la pesto was average, escalope was delicious too. The service was amazing and super professional. Very cozy and beautiful ambiance in this restaurant. A little bit expensive but comparing of the experience its nice.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-06-03 The Beirut Cellar is a blast from the past. One of the cornerstone’s of fine dining in Beirut is back and better than ever. A trifecta of great food, excellent service, and a relaxing joyful atmosphere nestled in the most vibrant yet relaxed parts of Beirut. It should be on top of your list whenever you’re in town.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-10 A heritage place, one of the oldest in town for good steak. The place has kept its good quality. The menu is new, with a lot of selection. Food is always good. Many good options such as steaks, beef carpaccio, mushroom pasta, good salads… Staff are trained and friendly. The place is quite, suitable during the week for a working lunch.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-05 I visited this restaurant for an early lunch meeting around 1 PM and was left underwhelmed by the experience. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a green salad, and while the chicken was well-marinated and tasted decent, it was surprising—and disappointing—that it didn’t come with any sides considering the price. I had to pay an additional $5 for sautéed potatoes, which were just okay. The green salad, however, was a letdown. Despite adding the provided dressing, it was bland and lacked any real flavor. Portions were adequate, but the overall taste of the food didn’t justify the steep prices. To make matters worse, the dishes were heavily seasoned with pepper for no apparent reason, which caused me to cough and tear up while eating—hardly the experience I’d hoped for. In the end, the meal was disappointing, especially for the price point. While the chicken was decent, the lack of included sides, unappetizing salad, and overuse of pepper made this a place I wouldn’t rush back to. If you’re looking for good value and flavorful food, this might not be the spot for you. street, Bayrut, Lebanon -

☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-28 Extremely friendly staff, welcoming and professional. Amazing cocktails and their own gin, wines and beers. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed. Sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere and friendly bar staff and customers.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-04-12 Ales and Tales fell short of expectations, with limited beer options and an overpriced, overrated atmosphere that didn't align with its name. While the sour draft beer was decent, the overall ambiance left much to be desired. Disappointing experience overall. Good luck!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2023-12-27 Went on weekdays, the mood and playlist are really good , the bar tender advised us depending on our preferences . A large choice of virgin cocktails for those who don't drink alcohol . And the service is perfect . The music is really good but not too loud if you want to have a conversation.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2022-04-17 5 star review for the awesome staff at this place. Here you feel welcomed, with genuine kindness and smiles, overwhelmingly friendly mixologists and waiters. This place is precisely the spot where you could meet kind people and mingle, get out of your cocoon and release the social butterfly within you. Drinks are delicious and are done with a nice little show done by the bartenders. This bar has 3 floors, best one obviously is the bottom one and they also have a yellow van just outside the bar where you could sit and socialize. Highly recommended!!!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2021-06-09 This is an amazing cocktail bar, serving colourful local spirits, a great ambiance with the best staff and mixologists in Beirut. Elio and Roy, you put a smile on our faces with your warm welcome and your elegant appearance. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beirut, Lebanon -
The Barn
restaurant
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 4.5 See reviews × The Barn 4.5 ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 398 reviews
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-05-05 Disappointing Experience We were initially drawn to The Barn for its charming vibe in the heart of Gemayzeh Street. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment due to several issues. Cleanliness Concerns: We were given cups for water that had a strong, unpleasant odor. Although the staff replaced them with less smelly cups after we brought it to their attention, it raised concerns about the restaurant's attention to cleanliness. Food Quality 1. Chicken Caesar sour dough: My dish was enjoyable, with a good balance of flavors. 2. Steak meal: Unfortunately, my husband's steak meal was a different story. He ate nothing else that day and subsequently suffered from food poisoning, spending the evening and night feeling nauseous and vomiting. Given the unfortunate experience with food poisoning, we would strongly advise against eating steak at The Barn. The cleanliness concerns and severe food poisoning issue overshadowed the restaurant's pleasant atmosphere. We will not be returning to The Barn and would caution others to be mindful of these issues.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-17 We had brunch at the Barn with a group of friends. The platters are generous and the proposed mixes are tasty. You feel like ordering all the menu. The place is kids friendly and the staff is really welcoming and efficient.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-23 Awesome idea for a restaurant, they serve really good breakfast for whether you are watching your calories on wanting to cheat. The prices are a bit on the higher side but you get what you pay for. Nice and fresh ingredients, special flavors and combinations.. The opening times are a bit weird, but afterall its a breakfast place. I would go there again to treat myself :)
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-09-17 Delicious place for breakfast/brunch or lunch! I tried the chocolate-mango oatmeal, which was very tasty, filling and full of fresh fruits. My coffee was great and they have non-dairy options. The carrot juice was also fresh. Best breakfast I had in Beirut so far and at a very good price compared to other places. The service was polite and friendly. The place is clean and lovely. I really recommend this place and will definitely go back if I have time!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-09-08 It is a very cute restaurant in gemayzeh proposing healthy food options perfect for breakfast or brunch. We had several sandwiches and chia bowls. I loved the goat cheese with fresh figs and the fresh tuna sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty. We really liked it ! Seating outside is not enjoyable as you are literally sitting on the road but the cute interior decoration makes up for sitting indoors. the alleyway، Gouraud, Bayrut, Lebanon -

☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-16 This charming place boasts amazing decor and soaring high ceilings, creating a truly captivating atmosphere. While the music could be better, the food is undeniably delicious and beautifully presented. Every dish is a testament to culinary skill and care. The service is also noteworthy, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. From the ambiance to the delectable cuisine, this spot offers a memorable visit. It's a place where you can relax and savor both the visual and culinary delights. Despite the music needing improvement, the overall experience is definitely worth it. The combination of stunning aesthetics and mouthwatering food makes this a must-try.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2022-11-26 Very nice architecture and design truly fit the street’s authenticity. The food is just delicious and the alcohol quality is very good. The service is also really professional and the staff are very friendly.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-22 We had a very disappointing experience at Amelia Restopub. Before going, we confirmed twice over the phone that there was no minimum charge—just à la carte ordering. However, at 11 p.m. as a group of 14, the hostess told us our bill was “too low” at $300 and insisted we order more food and drinks or face a $70 per person minimum .When we explained that this was never mentioned during our calls, she was rude, especially to the birthday girl. Most of us weren’t hungry because we had eaten before arriving—we came to drink, dance, and enjoy the music. One couple was even on a strict diet but was still forced to order food because of this ridiculous rule. The birthday girl was extremely sad; I’ve never seen her this upset. She had told everyone there was no minimum charge, only to be put in an awkward position where she had to go back and tell her guests they had to order more. No one wanted to eat, but we were forced to order food that we didn’t even enjoy because it wasn’t what we wanted. The service was also poor. A waiter tried to take my half-full drink to refill it without my request, seemingly just to increase the bill. The place was overcrowded with no space to move, the music was terrible, and the overall experience was frustrating. This place is dishonest and has terrible service. I do not recommend it and will never return.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-03 I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amelia , a hidden gem that offers an authentic style of Peru right here in Lebanon. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance, The menu is delightful, crafted with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to recommend their favorites. The cocktail selection was also impressive. I can't wait to return!
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-04-03 My booking was at 7 pm and i arrived 5 mins before but i been told to wait for another 30 mins as they was just opening and preparing the tables which is unprofessional at all If you open at 7 pm and you need more time to prepare the tables don’t open the booking form this time Amelia is a name of Latin origin, derived from the Germanic element "amal," meaning "work" or "industrious." ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-09 I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and we we amazed with the food, service and atmosphere! 🥙 The food was hot, fresh and tasty! 💰 The prices are affordable, around 25$ if you order food, drinks and desert.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-15 Society delivers a polished dining experience with well-crafted dishes, quality ingredients, and a laid-back yet refined atmosphere. Service is smooth and attentive, making it a solid choice for a casual yet elevated dinner.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-11-17 dining experience at prices that truly stand out given the quality of the food and the cozy, elegant seating. We started with the Caesar salad, which was hands down a 10/10—perfectly crisp with a rich, flavorful dressing. The edamame was a surprising delight, seasoned just right to keep us going back for more. The bresaola pizza was a blend of fresh ingredients and great flavors, and the poulet mariné was tender, juicy, and absolutely unforgettable. To top it all off, the service was beyond amazing—friendly, attentive, and fast.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-09-29 I recently dined at Society Bistro in Beirut, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience. The food was super amazing, with a delicious variety of Italian and French dishes that were not only flavorful but also presented beautifully. The ingredients used were of a very good quality, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable, making it a great value for the high-quality dining experience. This place is my all time favorite for the last few years and it retained its value despite all the changes of the restaurant business in Lebanon I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Beirut. The combination of great food, excellent value, and a pleasant atmosphere makes it a standout choice.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-08-25 Granted some may say that service was better before but all in all I don't think any place in Lebanon has better value for your money than society bistro! The food tastes good, the variety is big and can accommodate the many craving and the service is quick ( yet not super friendly and attentive ). We had the Caesar salad ( not wow, but ok ), tagliatelle mushroom ( rich and very creamy), salmon, two kind of pizza ( dough can be improved is my only point) However , even if some points ( service , food ) are not 100 percent yet at the price you pay it's still sooooo recommended! ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-21 We went for drinks and some meals and we enjoyed the atmosphere and food a lot. The place is nice and has a unique identity and the man who waited on us was very friendly.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-28 I went to Riwaq this morning hoping to have breakfast there after I found the place near my Airbnb on google maps. The staff were so rude, the service was really slow, and the breakfast I was served took one hour to arrive and was bland (cold bread, no taste…) I asked for sugar for my tea, the girl who works at the bar got me some then she came back without asking me and took it off my table. I wouldn’t recommend this place, complete disappointment.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2023-01-06 Wonderful cosy place Great for work meet ups or study sessions They have an inhouse cat that roams around playing A water station is in the mid of the place with cups which was super cool and unusal We had the fries which were okay
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2018-04-04 Riwaq is definetely one of the loveliest spot in Beirut. I tried their traditional lebanese breakfast which contains a large variety of yumminess choices : Labne, Halawa, apple jam (was my fav), white cheese, green olives, thyme, served with warm pita bread and fresh vegetables. It was as delicious as i expected it to be. I was disappointed for they do not serve American coffee but that was okay since their espresso coffee was delicious too For the atmosphere, it was very lovely and cozy. The downstairs interior brought me good vibes especially with the cool authentic music and amazing posters which had guarantee a good humour. For the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming, and easy to communicate with. I ve spent at Riwaq couple of hours (or more), and will definitely come back again. I highly recommend it
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2024-06-07 Riwaq is a great spot, it has a riwaq vibe, decent cocktails, an events space, definitely worth a visit. ☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-04-19 I was really looking forward to trying this place, especially given its stunning location. Tucked away in the heart of Achrafieh, the setting is genuinely beautiful whether you’re seated inside or outside , a true hidden gem in terms of atmosphere. Unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the surroundings. We ordered a wide selection of dishes, but overall it was below average. The only standout was the chicken, which was well-prepared and flavorful. The sweets at the end also managed to leave a good impression. Thanks god It’s a shame because with such a charming spot, you’d expect the food to match. I truly hope they work on improving the menu because the potential is there.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-02-06 The interior architecture and decor are one of a kind, especially the arcades. However the place can get super noisy whenever only a few tables are taken. No background music whatsoever. The savory dishes are mostly pretty nice, with a twist, and very well presented. Desserts are nothing exceptional, apart from the meghli eclair which was really nice. Prices are a bit on the high side, however understandable given it’s a high-end restaurant.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-12 The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is tasty but nothing special and of course it comes in very small portions. It wouldn’t be my go to place for good Lebanese dinner.
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-03-02 A little bit disappointed in my last visit. Portions got smaller and prices got higher. The place is really beautiful inside, very well renovated with the Lebanese typical architecture. Service was very slow, they had a technical issue that day. Fattet shish barak was perfect 10/10 Kanz salad 5/10 not recommended Hummus ras asfour 8/10 Kebbe cheese 6/10
☆☆☆☆☆ ★★★★★ 2025-01-28 Located in an Lebanese Heritage home, that is beautifully decorated with indoor and outdoor seating. All items from tableware to farm to table dishes are local products. Proceeds go to Beit Al Baraka (not sure for how many years). While the food is well presented and tastes good, not the best available. But eating for a good cause makes it worth it. There is a mooneh boutique and and artisanal boutique with beautiful products from different regions from Lebanon that are very reasonably priced. Our waitress was polite but a mix of "curt" with a smile. We had Hummus; Artichoke with Hindbé; Chmandar w jibne (beetroot and cheese) tasted more like yogurt, interesting blend. Kibbé Nayé, had too much bulgur to our taste. Forgot to take pictures of the makanek, kibbe Halounieh (not waow) Crispy Haloum, we found the latter "heavy" to digest. Will be back Sursock, Bayrut 20631111, Lebanon
