Lebanese Rider Jad Al-Dana’s Journey from Local Stables To Worldwide Success

At five, Jad Al-Dana in Damour turned two sticks into reins and rode like a pro. Inspired by family and driven by passion, his journey was set to soar.

A Pony, Two Sticks, and Big Dreams

At Meshref Country Club, little Jad watched his older brothers ride and wanted in. Too tiny for the saddle, he made do with makeshift reins—two long sticks. His dad, Mohammad, remembers how focused he was, always asking how to get better.

Climbing the Global Ranks

Fast forward 25 years, Jad’s not just riding—he’s soaring. From a humble start ranked around 3,000 in the world, he’s now cracked the top 160, landing at number 156 in the International Equestrian Federation rankings.

Victory in Florida

On June 30, he took home gold at the Ocala CSI4* Grand Prix in Florida, one of his biggest wins yet. A huge leap for the kid from Damour, and a clear sign: he’s just getting started.
