Hassan, currently ranked 170th in the world, was born in Germany after his father, Zaki, fled the Lebanese civil war in the 1980s.

Even though he was born in Germany, Hassan has represented Lebanon in the Davis Cup since 2018. On Sunday, he enjoyed the energetic and enthusiastic support from fans on Court 11, which helped him secure the win.

Congrats to Benjamin Hassan!
