Ceasefire deal confirmed after high-level talks<\/h2>\n

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that an agreement has been reached with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to begin a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.<\/p>\n

Implementation details and planned White House meeting<\/h2>\n

Trump said the ceasefire will take effect at 5 p.m. U.S. East Coast time, adding that he will invite both Netanyahu and Aoun to the White House for what he described as the first serious talks between Israel and Lebanon.<\/p>\n
