President Joseph Aoun addressed the Lebanese people following the start of the ceasefire with Israel, saying the agreement was achieved through combined local and international efforts. He acknowledged the role of friendly and allied countries, including Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> and Saudi Arabia<\/span><\/span>, while stressing that the sacrifices of the Lebanese people helped bring global attention and support.<\/p>\n

Endurance through pressure and a new phase ahead<\/h2>\n

He noted that Lebanon faced heavy criticism and pressure but remained committed to its chosen path. According to him, the country is now entering a new phase where it can negotiate independently and regain its decision-making power after years of external influence, even if this transition may bring new challenges.<\/p>\n
