Cairo Metro Has Just Released This Long New List Of Laws And Fines

For breaking their laws, the Cairo Metro Company has implemented a long list of new fines, up to EGP 4,000 with the potential of incarceration.

Those who break any of the laws below and fail to pay any of the penalty will be liable to pay an extra EGP 4,000

Men riding in women’s coaches, littering, and smoking inside metro cars are all on the list of infractions that carry a starting fine of EGP 30.

The fine for not wearing a face mask, riding without a ticket, and avoiding the ticket machine is EGP 50.

A punishment of EGP 100 will be imposed for crossing the metro track and conducting sales solicitations inside of trains and stations without the necessary authorization.

A fine of EGP 400 is assessed for tampering with the emergency frame and any resulting harm to it or the train.
