The Zamalek Metro Line Is Finally Open

Avatar

The long-awaited metro stations in Zamalek are now open.

The new metro line to Zamalek has started its one-month pilot phase

The 3A line is the first of several environmentally friendly megaprojects that will run on electricity, including the light rail transit (LRT), bus rapid transit (BRT), monorail projects, as well as the fourth and sixth metro lines.

The 3A line was built as part of Egypt’s long-term plan to implement sustainable green transit networks.

The Gamal Abdel-Nasser station in Downtown Cairo, Maspero, Safaa Hegazy in Zamalek, and Kit Kat in Imbaba are the four stations that the 3A line of the Cairo Metro connects.

Once in operation, the line will eventually make it simpler to travel by monorail to and from the new administrative capital.
