Some are cheering for smoother visits, while others are scratching their heads over the changes. The buzz is real, and everyone’s got an opinion on whether this is a genius move or a recipe for chaos.

Timed tickets launched

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that the museum would start using advance booking with timed slots to organize visits.

The goal? To make the experience better for everyone and keep things running smoothly.

Questions and concerns popped up

Not everyone was thrilled about the change. Some visitors wanted to know if tickets now had a set hour and how long they could stay. Others wondered if group trips would get tricky with different timings.

There were also worries about tourists with tight schedules, especially those coming from Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada for a quick museum and pyramid day.

And let’s not forget the folks who prefer buying tickets at the counter—some felt left out by the digital shift.

Plenty of fans for the new system

But not everyone was stressed!

Loads of people thought the timed tickets were a brilliant idea.

Many gave the move a big thumbs up for helping organize the crowds and making the most of museum resources.

Even international fans chimed in, saying this is how top museums do it worldwide. Whether you love it or hate it, the Grand Egyptian Museum’s new ticket system is definitely getting people talking!
