Known for its wallet-friendly shopping and variety of goods, from home appliances to fashion accessories, El Nozha has long been a go-to for affordable, no-hassle purchases.
The influencer, who was shopping for herself with no intention to film content, noticed women standing in the streets of Nozha, arguing over rising prices. This observation inspired her to make a video urging other creators to reconsider producing haul content from the district.
She emphasized that many influencers doing these hauls also shop at high-end stores, meaning they are largely unaffected by price hikes, but their content can have real consequences for people who rely on Nozha’s affordable offerings.
In her video, she explained that creating these hauls for reach or engagement may seem harmless, but it can inadvertently inflate prices and reduce access for shoppers who have no alternative.
Her message resonated with many viewers, some of whom pointed out that haul culture is spreading to other budget-friendly markets in Cairo, putting additional strain on everyday shoppers.

Social media quickly responded, with many users expressing support for the content creator’s stance. Viewers highlighted the importance of being mindful of the impact influencer content can have on real-life communities, particularly when it involves areas that serve people with limited budgets.
