Sign Language To Be Included In School Curriculum

Egyptian Minister of Education Reda Hegazy met with Abdelrahman Omar, the chairman of “Begin”، a company that overlooks developmental projects in Egypt. The meeting was held to discuss how the two entities can cooperate to enhance the digital curriculum for hard-of-hearing students. By enhancing means of education, students of determination will be able to gain full education without any obstacle.

Additionally, the ministry asserted the importance of including digital methods to help students of determination with their learning so that they can be active participants in society.

Therefore, the ministry decided to distribute brochures that include sign language across schools in Egypt so that students can interact with each other at school.

Hegazy affirmed that only by handing out these brochures, we can understand these students’ needs and points of view.

This initiative will raise societal and community awareness of the importance of learning sign language and establish students’ consciences.

The ministry will also is working closely with other organizations to introduce teachers who are well affiliated with sign language.
