Fencer Ziad El Sissy Wins A Bronze Medal At The Fencing World Cup

Renowned Fencer Ziad El Sissy scores Egypt a Bronze Medal at the fencing world cup which is currently held in Italy!

El Sissy defeated his Italian opponent, Michele Gallo in the quarter-final with a 15-14 score, becoming the first Egyptian to ever reach the Semi-Finals at the Fencing World Cup!

He Expects to meet the Georgian fencer Sandro Bazadze who defeated his Japanese opponent in the quarterfinals.

Ziad also previously won the Bronze Medal at the world championship in 2022 which was held in Algeria.

It is noteworthy that Al-Sisi qualified directly for the main round of 64, thanks to his global ranking, as he ranks twelfth with 108 points.

Ziad is currently ranked fourth globally, and third olympically.
