Investigations have covered everything related to the deceased, including the contents of her devices such as her phone and computer, which are being reviewed for calls and messages. The public prosecutor is currently finalizing the procedures to release the body, prepare the necessary report, and send the death certificate to the consulate, with daily oversight from the Egyptian ambassador to France, Tamer Tawfik.
In a notable development, it has been revealed that the University of Paris-Saclay, where the deceased researcher worked, experienced a significant cyberattack just days before her death. The university disclosed that an electronic attack by unknown hackers targeted its services, affecting all internal servers such as email and internet. The university has filed a complaint with the local gendarmerie in the “Val d’Oise” district and is working on gradually restoring its services. Although no specific timeline for full recovery has been given, the university expects it to take several weeks.
