An International German School Accused Of Promoting Homosexuality to Egyptian Students

An Egyptian Lawyer, Ashra Nagy, filed a report with the Public Prosecutor’s office, representing a group of parents who claimed that their children’s international German School is promoting homosexuality in their biology books.

During a phone interview with “Akher El Nahar” show, Nagy explained that he found materials in 6th and 9th grade biology books promoting homosexuality.

The school’s administration has reportedly told him that these materials are part of the imported German curriculum, however, it is not part of the Egyptian curriculum and not taught.

The Ministry of Education’s Response

The Ministry of Education issued an official statement responding to the allegations and announced that the ministry is forming a legal committee to investigate the lawyer’s claim.

The committee will be made up of the International Education Department and ministry leaders to the school to determine the situation and take all necessary legal measures immediately if any violations are found.

The statement also affirmed the ministry’s categorical rejection of any school in Egypt promoting or teaching subjects that violate or threaten society’s moral values.

Parent’s Reactions:

Parents on X and Facebook have claimed that this is a malicious report that came after Nagy’s children were expelled from the school.
