Video Sparks Controversy And Prompts Investigation

The Ministry of Interior has addressed the widespread concerns following the circulation of a video depicting what appeared to be the kidnapping of a groom in Dakahlia. The video, which rapidly gained attention on social media platforms, showed a man being forcibly taken while leaving a wedding party. This scene stirred huge controversy and prompted people to call for immediate action from the authorities.

A Misleading Dramatic Stunt

Following initial investigations, security services arrested the man featured in the video. Their findings revealed that no official reports had been filed regarding the incident, raising doubts about its authenticity.

Upon further investigation, it was found that the man in the video had been married for three years and is a father.  Meanwhile, the supposed “bride” in the video was, in fact, his wife. The investigation revealed that the man performed this stunt annually. He later admitted that the video was a staged act intended to increase views on his YouTube channel.

The groom, identified as Ahmed Gamal, is a YouTuber who runs a channel called “Ahmed and Amal.” He created the video during his wedding to his wife, Amal, purely as a means to attract attention and boost views. Due to the public fear and anxiety caused by the video, legal action is being taken against Ahmed for publishing the misleading scene. The security source confirmed the ongoing measures to address the situation.
