The Giza prosecution has decided to refer Mohamed S., the father of a parliamentarian, to trial for assaulting an individual with firearms in the West Somid area in October and for inciting others to attempt to kill and injure him.
Investigations revealed that the altercation between the two parties stemmed from issues related to feeding stray dogs. The defendant and four others allegedly assaulted the victim using firearms, clubs, and sticks.
The incident began when the Giza Security Directorate received a report from the police department about a brawl in the Arab Somid area of October, involving the father of a parliamentarian who had beaten a person.
Using modern technology, the investigation team was able to uncover the details of the incident. It was found that the perpetrator was the father of a Senate member, who was arrested with two rifles used in the incident. Four other suspects were apprehended in Bani Faze in the Center of Sadfa, Assiut Governorate. Legal actions were taken against them, and the public prosecutor is handling the investigation.
When confronted, the accused admitted to firing at the victim due to previous disputes over the victim’s act of caring for and feeding stray dogs around his home. Despite several warnings, the victim continued this activity, prompting the accused to seek revenge.
