Our favorite pharmacist and brand owner AKA Ola Abd El Sabour returned with a brand new story!

The second season of “Finding Ola” recently premiered on Netflix, and up to this day, it remains first in the top 10 most-watched TV shows in Egypt! Directed by Hadi El Bagoury, the show revives Ola Abd El Sabour’s life in a new dramatic, exciting, and fresh perspective.

The 6-episode show discusses a business hiccup that Ola encounters when her business supplier suddenly passes away and she learns that his son wants to sell the farm, pushing her business to the brink of collapse. Determined to find a solution- she meets with the farm’s heir, AKA Dhafer L’Abidine, who unexpectedly, becomes her business partner.

While Ola finds herself facing multiple issues at once, her daughter’s rebellious phase, brother’s return, and the collapsing business, she suddenly finds love in the most unexpected place.

The show highlights Abd El Sabour’s struggle to find her intuition and inner voice- a tool that she heavily depended on in her business decisions.

The show heavily discusses the necessity of balancing family time while struggling to keep your work-life afloat, an issue Hend Sabri- the actress who portrays Ola, has talked about openly.

Although the show sheds light on Ola’s resilience, determination to maintain a family-work balance, and self-actualization journey, some users cannot help but criticize the transformation of Ola’s social class.

After the second season of “Finding Ola” premiered, users claimed her personality in the recently aired show is very contradictory to her personality in “Ayza Atgawez,” claiming her old character mirrored common societal problems that people can relate to.

However, the new character, as they claimed, belongs to a higher social class, and therefore, her problems do not resonate with the audience who once loved the simple family.

Although some people found the new Ola unrelatable, the criticism of Ola’s character led people to come to her rescue; explaining that “Rising through social classes” and “Adopting new perceptions and ideologies” are a part of human growth and should be celebrated, not criticized.

“Ayza Atgawez” and the introduction of Ola Abd El Sabour

Hend Sabri first introduced the character in 2010, where she portrayed the character of a pharmacist who was eager to get married before reaching the big 30, leading her parents to coerce her to marry any acceptable suitor, putting her in comical situations.
