Sea snakes smuggled through Cairo Airport?!

Customs officers at Cairo Airport’s General Administration of Air Exports stopped an attempt to smuggle sea snakes into the UAE.

The Lakes and Fish Resources Protection and Development Agency was shown the seized animals. The agency confirmed that the parcels lacked export approval and a CITES certificate, which governs the trade in species specimens.
