Cairo University Medical Student Ended His Life By Hanging At The Dorms

In a tragic incident, the student dormitory at Cairo University witnessed the discovery of a student’s body, found hanging from the ceiling of his room.

The university administration informed the security authorities at the Giza Security Directorate. Upon the authorities’ arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that the deceased was “Omar M.,” a 23-year-old third-year medical student at Cairo University. The body was found hanging from a fire sprinkler pipe inside his room.

The Egyptian security forces began conducting investigations, questioning witnesses, and reviewing surveillance cameras to understand the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary legal actions.

One of the young man’s friends confirmed that he had been suffering from a poor mental state due to the pressure of studying and had preferred to stay alone during the recent period.

The public prosecution decided to hold the body at the hospital morgue, while investigations are ongoing to determine the reason behind the student’s decision to end his life.
