Chill Vibes Incoming! A Brief Break from Egypt’s Sizzling Heatwave

Avatar

Sizzling heat takes a back seat this upcoming week..

Get ready to catch a break from the sizzling heat, as the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has predicted a small dip in temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius from Tuesday till Saturday across the northern part of the country.

And if that wasn’t cool enough, brisk winds will sweep in, making things feel even chiller at night by whisking away the humidity.

Just a heads-up for beach lovers, though – those same spirited winds might conjure up three-meter waves along the coastlines by Saturday.

In the bustling hub of Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, you can expect the mercury to dance between 34 and 35 degrees, keeping it comfortably warm through Saturday.

Egypt has been under the blazing sun since mid-July..

Over on the North Coast, highs will sway in the 30-31 degree range, but it might feel like a toasty 34 degrees or more.

But alas, not every corner of the country gets a refreshing cooldown. Brace yourself, Upper Egypt! Luxor and Aswan are in for some serious thermometer teasing, with highs of 41-45 degrees that’ll play dress-up as 42-46 degrees.

Egypt has been under the blazing sun since mid-July, with temperatures soaring past 40 degrees Celsius all over the map.

Power outages continued..

The temperature surge has turned up the ACs and given power plants a workout, putting a strain on the natural gas supply and leading the government to choreograph some scheduled power naps.

According to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, these power breaks will keep grooving as long as the mercury keeps strutting above 35 degrees.
