The International Swimming Federation has taken a stern stance against Egyptian champion Abdulrahman Sameh, a member of the Egyptian national swimming team, due to his support for the Palestinian cause.
Abdulrahman Sameh achieved a historic milestone by winning the gold medal in the 50-meter butterfly race with a time of 23.04 seconds at the World Cup held in Greece.

The International Swimming Federation decided to remove photos of the Egyptian champion Abdulrahman Sameh and instead published pictures of all other winners in various competitions.
This comes after Abdulrahman Sameh declared his support for the Palestinian cause and the people of Gaza against the crimes of the Zionist entity in recent days.
“I don’t know if I can celebrate this achievement after I went through a very difficult week mentally. “I received death threats, and people were attacking me all week because of my support for Palestine against the crimes that happen to them daily. My family goes to sleep worried about any attempt to break in and harm me..They also worry a lot if I don’t answer their calls if I’m busy, for fear that someone might try to kill me.”
“Therefore, I do not know whether I should celebrate this achievement or not, while my brothers are being killed in Palestine now, I will continue my support for them and will not stop.”
