The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly denied allegations made by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, the leader of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. Hemedti claimed that Egypt is conducting airstrikes against his forces amid the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

In a speech on Wednesday, Hemedti accused Cairo of launching air raids on RSF troops and providing drones and training to the Sudanese army, giving them a strategic advantage in the war.

In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs swiftly rejected these accusations, urging the international community to carefully examine the evidence supporting Hemedti’s claims.

Egypt reiterated its commitment to Sudan’s security, stability, and unity, emphasizing that the well-being of the Sudanese people remains a top priority.

The Ministry also called on the international community to hold Hemedti accountable for his claims and to request evidence supporting his allegations. Meanwhile, Egypt highlighted its continued efforts to assist those affected by the war in Sudan and reaffirmed its support for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. It also firmly denied any involvement in military operations within Sudan.
