Egypt Discovers One Of Four Lost Sun Temples in Abusir
Abusir is a vast Old Kingdom necropolis with many royal artefacts from the 5th dynasty that is situated just outside of Cairo.
Now, one of four 5th dynasty sun temples that were believed to have existed and had long since vanished has been discovered
The first remnants of the temple were discovered in November 2021, but the latest Polish-Italian mission has been able to discover the mudbrick temple!

Inside the sun temple, the mission found clay seals with the names of ancient kings, including Shepseskare, one of the most enigmatic pharaohs of the 5th dynasty.
