Egypt Gas Company clarified that there is no gas leak in the Smart Village area or its surrounding regions. The odor detected is specific to odorants added to natural gas, which are transported from Egypt Gas Company’s designated storage facilities in the Abou Rawash area.

Eng. Wael Goweid, the company’s president, affirmed that the natural gas networks, pipelines, pressure reduction stations, and all gas facilities in the region are entirely secure and operational, with no gas leaks.
