Egypt Increases Minimum Wage

During his visit to Beni Suef, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued new decisions including an increase in minimum wages.

The president announced an increase in minimum wages for 6-grade employees to reach 4000 EGP instead of 3500 EGP. 

Additionally, he also announced an increase in the cost of living allowance to 600 EGP instead of 300 EGP.

Moreover, these decisions also include raising the tax exemption limit by “25%” from “36” thousand pounds to “45” thousand pounds for all employees of the state’s administrative sector, economic bodies, business sector companies, and the public sector.

Increasing the financial categories granted to beneficiaries of “Solidarity and Dignity” by 15% for pensioners, for a total of 5 million families.
