Egypt Is Fixing The Price Of Loose & packaged Rice To EGP12 & EGP15 Respectively
In a Cabinet meeting held on August 31, a decision was taken to fix the price of loose and packages of white rice to EGP12 and EGP15 respectively
They also decided to fix the price of wheat ardebs (shiwal) to EGP1,000 to encourage farmers.
The decisions were taken to protect consumers and prevent monopolistic practices on essential household items, especially after noticing local markets hiking their prices.
