Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers its condolences to the Algerian People Over Wildfire.
The number of casualties rises as the wildfire continues to take over Algerian wildlife.
The number of victims has been raised to 34 on Monday, including 10 soldiers.
Algerian Authorities stated in a statement that over 8000 soldiers have been sent to battle and control the fire from spreading into further locations.
A civil protection official said that they had evacuated hundreds of the town’s residents by land and by sea, in fishermen’s boats and coastguard vessels.
They have also opened a judicial investigation into the cause of the wildfire.
Additionally, Egypt and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have released a statement offering condolences to the Algerian people over the lives that have been lost.
The statement reads as follows “Egypt expresses its sincere solidarity with the brotherly People’s Republic of Algeria, following the recent forest burning incidents, which resulted in dozens of victims and injuries. Egypt also extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the brotherly government and people of Algeria and the families of the victims following this painful affliction, expressing its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, and its solidarity with the sisterly state of Algeria in this painful accident.”
