Egypt’s government just decided to take on a very large and ambitious project that’ll help combat climate change.

In an effort to increase green spaces across the country and positively improve public health, Egypt will plant 100 million trees

Governmental and non-governmental bodies will work together to turn the green dream into reality. The project will add more green spaces, improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gases and therefore improve public health.

The step comes in line with the COP27 climate conference which is being hosted in Egypt. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said in a statement that the campaign to plant trees along the country’s highways will commence. He stated that each governorate will determine the roads and spaces that are suitable to be parks and public gardens.

Egypt is going GREEN!
