Egypt To Fine Mobile Providers EGP 21 Million For Poor Quality Services

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has announced that it will fine all Egyptian mobile providers

The NTRA said that it would be fining each provider EGP 21 million for providing poor services

Due to their negative effects on the quality of other licenced communication services, the NTRA eliminated unlicensed wireless networks from various locations across the country.

The average number of locations impacted by poor mobile internet service reduced by 35% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter, according to the NTRA.

Additionally, compared to the first quarter of 2022, the average number of regions afflicted by poor voice quality reduced by 38% in the second quarter.
