EgyptAir Flight Changes Course To Save A Woman’s Life

In a statement released by the company on Tuesday, EgyptAir announced that out of their concern for the safety of all passengers, one of the pilots made an emergency landing in Geneva, Switzerland.

A woman on flight B777/300 flight No. MS985, carrying 309 passengers, headed from Cairo International Airport to New York had a sudden medical emergency that required instant intervention.

The statement explained that the pilot decided to change the flight course, to land at the nearest airport to urgently save the woman’s life, while the cabin crew supported her with first aid.

Upon arrival at Geneva Airport, an ambulance was called and the female passenger was dropped off to receive treatment.

All passengers were also dropped off based on instructions from Geneva Airport.

Shortly later, the plane took off to continue its flight to New York.
