Official Authorities in Beni Suef uncovered a fake tomb that was built to trick people who are interested in artifacts and archaeology to commit fraudulent actions.
The criminals managed to draw ancient pictures on the walls of an underground room in order to intelligently trick the visitors into thinking that the tomb is real!
The Tomb also had a sarcophagus, handmade statues, and gold-plated bars made of gypsum. These fake artifacts were carefully made in order to trick those interested in trading archaeological pieces and artifacts.
The Committee of Antiquities set up under the supervision of Dr. Omar Zaki confirmed that the tomb in its entirety is fake and that most of the pieces found inside were bought at Khan Al Khalili Street. The committee also stated that the inscriptions on the wall do not have no connection to ancient Egyptian civilization whatsoever.
