Meet Hassan Watani The 13-Year-old Egyptian kid who invented a robotic cinema chair. Hassan created the chair in collaboration with the Egyptian Autistic Society and VOX Cinemas for children with conditions such as autism.

This collaboration aligns with Egypt’s vision of supporting and integrating special abilities within society. In cooperation with the private sector and civil society institutions, to achieve the sustainable development plan and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

From dream to reality

Hassan Watani embarked on a journey that resulted in an innovative solution for cinema enthusiasts: a robotic cinema chair. With the support of his mother and the collaboration of the Egyptian Autistic Society, Hassan’s idea became a reality, shining a light on his dream. VOX Cinemas, aligned with Majid Al Futtaim’s mission to create unforgettable moments for everyone, extended an invitation to Hassan to experience 4DX in March. Now, Hassan is ready to present his specially crafted cinema chair to the world.

Governmental efforts

The Egyptian government has established the national council for Persons with Disabilities. They also created a fund and a bill to protect their rights. For a chance to meet their needs and facilitate their integration into society.
