Egyptian Students In Sudan Postpone Their Thanaweya Amma Exams

Instability in Sudan

Lately, Sudan has been experiencing political instability, economic hardships, and social unrest, leading to a negative impact on the country’s education sector and Egyptian Thanaweya Amma students.

Egypt has a significant number of students studying in Sudan and the current situation in Sudan has made it impossible for students to take the exam in a safe and secure environment.

Egypt’s solution

As a result, Egypt has decided to postpone the final exams for Egyptian Thanaweya Amma students and equivalent high school diplomas there until the security situation stabilizes.

Exams new timings

Egyptian Thanaweya Amma students who came to Egypt will have the option to take the exams in July, or postpone them to August to have more time to prepare and study.

Further Information

The Minister of Education Reda Hegazy, also ordered that all efforts should not be spared to make sure that the evacuated students re-enroll in their old schools in Egypt.

Number of Egyptians in Sudan

Egypt has around 10,000 citizens in Sudan, including 5,000 students. Only 1539 citizens have evacuated the country since the start of its evacuation plan between on Sunday.
