“Family To Everyone” Egyptians Rallied Up To Attend The Funeral Of A Palestinian Woman From Gaza

Having experienced the same enemy, Egyptians have always held a sentiment of solidarity with Palestinians and bore great attachment to the Palestinian Liberation.

Now, with the genocide in Palestinian Gaza perpetrated by the Israeli occupation, Egyptians have taken it upon their shoulders to care for every displaced Gazan, in death or life.

When the news of the lonely death of a Palestinian woman who came to Egypt to receive treatment from Gaza broke out in Kafr El Sheikh, residents of the small town rushed to be by her side, knowing that she was away from her family in her final days.

The town residents rented a Tuk Tuk, wired a megaphone to it, and announced around the street “Today, Hajj Youssra Gomaa, From Gaza, Palestine, passed away, Family of everyone.”

Residents took it upon themselves to arrange her funeral, burial spot, and funeral prayer.

Some attendees hopped on X to describe the funeral saying, “The mosque could not fit the number of people who wanted to participate in the funeral prayer, so they lined up in the street.”

Her nephew, a renowned Journalist in Gaza made a post on X, praising the good graces of Kafr El-Sheikh residents “My aunt Yusra, a martyr of illness, passed away alone in Egypt. The honorable people of Egypt had no choice but to organize a funeral for her in Kafr El-Sheikh her final resting place in the presence of the neighborhood’s honorable people. Such a scene gives chills to the soul, I swear.”
