“Everything Is Ruined” Fire Engulfed Storage Facilities In El Ataba

The Rescue Operations Room received a report of a fire in a clothing store in the Al-Musky area in front of the “Ataba Garage” in central Cairo.

10 fire engines belonging to the Civil Defense Forces were dispatched to the site of the fire to control it and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties and stores, amid an intense security presence.

The fire which broke out at two in the morning, inside a clothing store on Al-Ruwaii Street, damaged a three-story residential building adjacent to it, causing it to completely collapse after the flames spread inside it, resulting in massive losses.

It took about 9 hours for the Civil Defense Forces in Cairo to confront a large fire that consumed an entire residential building and a clothing store and clothing furnishings on Al-Ruwaii Street in the Ataba Market in the Al-Muski area in central Cairo.

Thankfully, the accident recorded only a limited number of suffocation injuries, for which first aid was provided at the scene.

An investigation is currently taking place in order to determine the reason behind the fire, and to conclude the losses.
