An ex-Obama National Security Council official, Stuart Seldowitz was arrested from his home after videos of him harassing an Egyptian vendor in New York, USA, went viral.
The viral videos documented Seldowitz spewing Islamophobic and hateful comments, which the egyptian man refused to answer or respond to, choosing to remain calm during the entire incident.
The New York police department announced that the 64-year-old official was arrested on the initial charges of second-degree aggravated harassment, hate crime, stalking, stalking causing fear, and stalking at employment.

In the videos posted online, Seldowitz was spotted mocking Islam, taunting the man about his citizenship status, and his nationality. He also accused the Egyptian man of supporting Hamas, criticizing Muslims’ support of Palestine amid the ongoing war on Gaza.
The man was documented mocking the murder of Palestinian babies saying “If we killed 4,000 Palestinian children, you know what? It wasn’t enough!”
The New York City Police Department told CNN on Tuesday that a commanding officer is aware of the videos and local precinct personnel “are monitoring the situation.”
