Residents And Tourists Will Now Be Allowed To Film In Public Places Without Permits

It’s not uncommon to find tourists and residents with professional cameras out and about, snapping what they think looks good behind the lens. After all, Egypt had some pretty spectacular spots worth capturing!

We might all be used to seeing tourists snapping pictures of the country’s historical monuments but the average citizen is also capturing your everyday people, streets and buildings.

People would constantly be stopped and questioned why they were taking photographs in public places… but things are about to change

Egyptians, residents, and tourists can now take photos of public areas without obtaining a permit

During an interview on MBC’s El-Hekaya, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Khaled El Anani explained that Egyptians and tourists will be allowed to snap pictures in public places without permits. He also stated that 

The only exception to this rule applies to foreign reporters and news channels
