The Egyptian Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of two Israeli nationals involved in an assault that left three hotel workers injured in Taba. The incident, which involved the display of force and the destruction of property, has prompted an ongoing investigation.
According to the prosecution’s statement, the altercation occurred last Friday at a hotel in Taba, where the two Israeli defendants clashed with three hotel workers. The defendants allegedly resorted to violence, physically assaulting the victims and causing significant damage to the hotel.
Following the incident, the prosecution visited the hospital to interview the victims and assess their injuries. The injuries were found to include skull fractures and lacerations of varying severity.
Authorities visited the hospital to speak with the injured workers and assess their conditions, which included skull fractures and cuts. Witnesses were also interviewed, and video footage of the incident was reviewed. The investigation confirmed the involvement of the two Israelis in the assault and the damage to the hotel.
The conflict reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over the defendants’ right to consume alcoholic beverages under the hotel’s residency rules. Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution has charged the individuals with assault, property damage, and causing public disturbance. They remain in custody as the investigation continues.
